This is a short story to participate in the 'Beyond the Bali Sky' event in July 2024. The kite festival of Bali, Indonesia inspires the event.

I chose the story prompt: "As you head to the festival, your kite gets torn at the last minute. You panic and try to find a way to repair it, only to discover someone approaching you for help."

When Jenny Watkins lands in Bali for the vacation of a lifetime, she and her friends Freya and Victoria find themselves amid an unexpected adventure. Amidst Bali's vibrant colors and rich traditions, they enter a kite-making competition and encounter Ketut, a local kite master. When their beautifully crafted dragon kite catches the attention of a great sky spirit, they embark on a quest filled with riddles, ancient prophecies, and natural wonders. Their journey leads them to discover hidden truths and unlock the secrets of the skies, forging unbreakable bonds and embracing the island's magic.
