Christmas 1411. Ailing King Henry IV of England must choose which of his sons will go on campaign to France the coming spring. And so, he summons his family to Kenilworth Castle, for the Christmas feast days, which are about to be fraught with scheming. The cast includes his new wife who is step mother to his grown children, his power hungry oldest son, his untrustworthy illegitimate brother, the kidnapped Scottish king, and an entire castle full of vengeful ghosts. After a lifetime of war Henry isn't suited to peace. Nor is his family. It's going to be a very long two weeks. Inspired by true events. Trigger/Content Warning: Family issues throughout. Some strong language. A character briefly suffers PTSD flashbacks. Some mild gore. Some irreverent humor regarding a hated character's illness. Some brief sexuality. Suggestive dialogue regarding a character's sexual promiscuity. Some intense family arguments. Alcohol use throughout.
