House Lancaster would only be made up of three kings, but their reigns would leave a mark on England and France for centuries to come. From the end of the 100 years war, to the War of the Roses, the Lancasters would be some of England's best known Middle Ages kings. In 1413 At the age of 45 Henry IV dies peacefully in his bed after 14 years of rule. He usurped the crown from his cousin, Richard II. Most of his rule was spent quelling up risings, and struggling with national debt. He leaves the crown to his son, Henry V. In 1422 at the age 35 Henry V dies of illness after a long campaign. In his 9 years of rule he conquered much of France in a series of military exploits, primarily sieges. He leaves the crown to his infant son, Henry VI.
