Criselda Smith, a Filipina-American girl who loves teaching the street kids in their town of San Fernando, and Leopoldo Manalo, a Filipino soldier, who is Criselda's brother's best friend.

In the short time they've known each other, they've fallen deeply in love with each other, so that no matter what, they're ready to fight for each other. This kind of love, they called it Greatest love.

But the day comes when Criselda is set to marry another man. How will they fight for their love when Criselda's father disapproves of Leo? Will they continue to fight for their love, or will they give up?

Especially since news has reached them that there will be a second world war. What will happen to their love when Leo has to comply with his duty to fight for his country? Will he return? Will he come back for Criselda? Will he fight for their love? Will they continue their interrupted love story despite World War 2?
