Hot shot is eight years old, he is active and playful. He lives with his father Heatwave and his mother Quickshadow. Heatwave is a firefighter and Quickshadow is a pediatric oncologist. They just moved to their new home in Fort Worth Texas. Hot shot loves to run, jump, climb and play. He even loves to do sports. Hot shot is getting settled in his new home and school. However soon Hot shot starts to feel unwell. It gets so bad he is taken to Cook Children's Hospital that Monday morning only about three weeks after school starts. Hot shot gets an MRI done and it reveals he has a brain tumor. Tests are done and it is revealed to be Medulloblastoma a type of brain cancer. Hot shot is ready to be brave and fight it. Hot shot makes friends with four other kids his age with the same type of cancer who also just moved to town. They become the best of friends and decide to fight their cancer together.
