Velia, a people pleaser who likes books and peace, is only 11 years old when she meets her new classmate Romeo, an older boy who likes chaos and rude jokes: their personalities instantly clash, and they quickly become childhood enemies.
After years apart, during which she deals with heartbreak, mourning and family disputes about inheritance, Velia wants nothing more than to go back to when Romeo was her biggest problem-But when they meet again, they'll both have to find out how different they became from when they were kids.
