Basically how I think sapphic agent 24 would play out after the events of octo exp. +au for the span of time between splatoon 2 and 3, the agents have to go on one more mission before they can get a break close to the start of s3.

Splatoon 2: Into the Light
(First story on Wattpad) Follow Agent 8 on her journey through the Deepsea Metro and into the light of Inkopolis. This is my take on the Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion DLC, so there will be inconsistencies. Treat this like an Alternate Universe from the Canon Universe. 'The Dual End of Worlds', 'Past and Future', 'The Elements of Earth', 'Darkness Rises', 'Dedf1sh' and 'The Collapse' have all been complied into the ultimate book, creating the Legacy Collection. With Alt Series being re-written, why not put the books into one and keep them all? Set within the Splatoon universe with blood, war, angst, fluff and so much more, our main characters travel to different timelines where they combat one problem after another and meet friends along the way. From sanitisation, to a world full of order, absolute chaos, or... places that aren't Inkopolis? These worlds could contain anything and what ever awaits them on the other side of their portals will definatlely be an adventure. This series of events in this book is (technically was because it is being re-written) canonical to the 38 Saga. However, this follows a different story, so you do not need to read it to understand these books. Agent 8 has panic inducing nightmares from when he was forced to fight Agent 3 underground. For some unknown reason, Agent 4 is the only one who can calm the Octoling.
