Heartbeat Hell

While working as an up-and-coming singer in an idol group, NCT Dream, Zhong Chenle noticed that he strangely had heart palpitation episodes whenever he worked at the Melody Moon venue. At first, he thought to avoid doing shows at this particular venue, but he decided that he had to get to the bottom of the strange phenomenon. Eventually, he found the source of his heart troubles in venue manager Zhang Yinian, who, even while present in the next room, gave him painful heart palpitations.

The worst part for Chenle was when he found out that he eventually had feelings for Yinian and they began to seriously date, but with a huge toll on his health. Understanding Chenle's plight and pain, Yinian eventually decides to give way to Chenle's health to be as far away as possible from him so that he could live a normal, healthy life.

Understanding that Yinian left Chenle for his own good, Chenle decides to start over to see whether he would have heart palpitations for another woman. Could the same heart problem happen again with another woman or can Chenle overcome his own personal "heartbeat hell" and seek out Yinian again?

This story is a round three qualifier for the Amby Awards 2025.
