Heartbeat Hell

As an up-and-coming singer in an idol group, NCT Dream, Zhong Chenle enjoyed a smooth life until his group planned to perform at the Melody Moon venue. Shortly after arriving for rehearsals and meeting the venue staff, an incredible pain overtook him, triggering a bewildering heart palpitation episode.

At first, Chenle considered avoiding this venue entirely, but he had to investigate the strange phenomenon. Eventually, he realized the source of his heart trouble: venue manager Zhang Yinian. Even with a wall separating them, her proximity triggered his painful heart palpitations.

Deciding to keep Yinian close by to study his "conditional tachycardia," a newly discovered condition, Chenle couldn't help but eventually fall for her. When they finally began dating, his condition landed him in the hospital again. Realizing the depth of his plight and pain, Yinian ended their relationship and stayed away from him so that he could live a normal, healthy life.

Unable to accept his broken fate with Yinian, Chenle started dating again to see if he could experience the same heart palpitations for another woman. Could the same heart problem happen again, or can Chenle overcome his own personal "heartbeat hell" and return to Yinian?
