Izuku Midoriya hasn't had the easiest life (when has he ever in one of my fics?). During high school, his mom got sick and passed away, leaving him in the care of a freshly divorced Rei Todoroki. The rest of his high school years were spent partying and doing just about anything to forget the fact he was an orphan. Now, he's freshly graduated high school and starting his freshmen year of college while trying to get his life back on track.
That plan goes to shit when he reconnects with Katsuki Bakugou and, subsequently, his group of misfit friends. He thinks he has it handled, that he can just ignore the blond guy he vaguely considers a brother and move on with his life.
His amazing backup plan goes to shit when Hitoshi Shinsou starts to be just a little too much of a bad influence.
I'm hyper fixating on this recovering troubled kid trope and you can pry it from my cold dead hands.

Shoto and Katsuki are just Izuku's big scary brothers in this.

Katsuki~ In his last year of middle school he was on his way home after a bullying session, he wasn't sure why but here lately he had been feeling more and more guilty about his actions and even words towards the emerald eye boy. And in the midst of thinking too much he hadn't realized someone was following him, he did put up a decent fight against the stalker however he was still a middle school boy. Time skip it turns out the famous Mafia the L.O.V had kidnapped him. They did many, many torture methods and tried many different drugs on the blonde causing him to gain an unnatural quirk, mortality. Durring this time he also gained a couple of friends in his head.
