"I haven't done anything..." Her forehead creased with confusion.
"You didn't know me before I came here. I was a lot like Romulus; cold, bitter, aimless, until I met you." He tucked another strand of hair behind her right ear as the wind blew through it before pulling her into a tight hug and kissing her forehead. "I've never known warmth like you, Genesis."
The urge to kiss her was never as strong as it was in that moment, but Roman knew that the time hadn't yet come. Instead, he closed his eyes and tilted the side of his head onto hers as she clung tightly to his torso, holding her head firmly against his chest.
The wind picked up wildly, but neither of them dared to let go.
