'When has anyone ever needed a beta' that is the prime thought circling in Seth's head as he moved the bracelet in his hand. The omega had handed it to him and asked him to text him but the three mating bites on the omega's neck kept me from texting. Why would an omega be trying to recruit him for his pack?

________________

Betas were deemed to be unimportant in society, that much Seth has known for his whole life and he is ok with that. He's gone 16 years like that until he stood up for the mated omega in his school. Now it doesn't sound so bad to have an omega that wants to be with you, a simple beta, but Seth isn't so sure what to do about the four older alphas and all the mysteries that come with them. The cherry on top is the growing number of beta deaths around the world that have only been growing in number. When did being a beta become so difficult?

What if mates didn't exist? Instead, werewolves chose who they wanted to be mated to for the rest of their lives during a short period of time once a year. This period was called the Mating Season. Sydney Carrington has already planned her entire life with her chosen mate and her pack's current beta, Will and he was going to choose her as his mate when she was of age in the Mating Season. Everything was perfect until a week before the Mating Season when she encounters a certain Alpha Kingston. Brendon Kingston is the most feared Alpha in the world. Rumours said that he was heartless, able of killing his own flesh and blood. He was incapable of showing mercy or even the slightest emotion except for anger. Never had he chosen a mate before. Until an encounter with a certain she-wolf changes his whole perspective of things. To Sydney's horror, Alpha Kingston steps in to claim her as his own before Will can during the Mating Season. Journey with Sydney as she learns how to deal with being the mate of the most cruel and ruthless alpha ever known. Along the way, could she perhaps learn to love him as well? * * * He narrowed his gaze, "You arrived here yesterday. You can call me Kingston. You're my chosen thus you're my equal." At the mention of him choosing me, anger flared up and I scoffed indignantly. "You chose me? You didn't. You blackmailed me to be with you!" Kingston's eyes turned hard and he warned, "By drinking the potion, you have agreed to be my chosen." I scoffed and glared up at him, "Because you threatened to kill my brother. He's fifteen! Would you really do that? Kill a fifteen year old to get what you want?" I demanded and Kingston simply looked at me with a passive expression. Highest Ranking: #4 in Werewolf 5/3/2016

untamable; adjective: • (of an animal) not capable of being domesticated • not capable of being controlled. ❛ Rune reaches out, slower this time, more deliberate, and without lifting his bowed head or rising from his kneeled place, he clasps the omega's hand in both of his. "Let me court you," He says. Pleads. Begs, even. "Six months. Six months, and if you still wont be mine, then I'll give you everything you need for a life, far from me." Six months, Silas broods. The alpha still doesn't meet his eyes, determined in his display of utter duteousness, presenting himself as a courteous suitor. Six months, and he could rid himself of this persistent alpha for good. Six months and he could have the life he's always wanted, the one he thought he could only have in daydreams and fairytales. He swallows. "Fine." He says, the word falling pendulously from his lips. What could go wrong? ❜ Alphas, Betas, and Omegas- the secondary gender to every hybrid shifter on earth. They typically live in a peaceful hierarchy; they have their differences, their quarrels and their affections, but for the omegas without homes- they're sent to agencies, places made to raise perfect omegas for future mates as soon as they come of age. At least- that's what Silas Hale has been told all his life. As an omega wolf hybrid, he happens to be under such circumstance. Violent, bad-mouthed, and misunderstood, he's been thrown around all his life by cruel, corrupt people who could only dub him as 'untamable'. He refuses to accept his biology, refuses to accept alphas, and refuses to accept the blind obedience the world expects from an omega. Now eighteen, he's meant to be pawned off- sold to whoever takes an interest, and Silas intends to keep his walls up, to be the 'untamable', rogue omega everyone sees- til Rune Windsor comes into his life, and Silas finds the world of cruelty and unjust he's known all his life gets flipped on its axis. Date: 9/12/24 To whom ends up finding this, My Alpha isn't the kindest or most sympathetic wolf... I'm kept in the dark, quite literally. I'm merely an Omega which makes me the lowest on the totem pole. Us Omega's, at least in the Warrior Star pack, are basically locked up, away from the rest. I've spent my whole life in the dark with the other Omega's who are deemed NOT useful to the pack. I wish to leave this place and start a new life. Maybe find my mate. If the Moon Goddess even so graciously decided to give me one. Sigh. A boy can only dream... -Mel
