Benjicot Blackwood is the apparent heir to Raventree Hall - long-known for their fierce and formidable household and its men - when war breaks out within the walls of King's Landing. Amidst increasing tensions between the noble houses across the realm as they each side between declaring for Rhaenyra Targaryen or her half-brother, Aegon II, as the rightful heir, House Blackwood and House Tully seek to reinforce their numbers and status within the riverlands in 129AC. In a plot to ensure the survival of their houses as the war of Dance of the Dragons fast approaches riverrun, Benjicot Blackwood is betrothed to Serra Tully, great-granddaughter to the Lord Paramount of the Riverlands, Grover Tully, and daughter to Lord Elmo despite their tumultuous history as children, much to Benjicot's dismay.
