Nikolai was never fond of the thought of being a prince, but what choice did he have? He was born into royalty and there was no way out of it. He would always be a prince the throne. Or so he thought.
Nikolai grew up despising the kingdom. He didn't like the thought of constantly being at court. Nikolai and his older brother, Vasily, didn't get along very well. They would constantly find some way to annoy each other. One day when he had snuck past the palace walls and met a lovely girl named Alina. She later was brought to the palace where the Queen made her a lady. She had fallen for Nikolai but kept her feelings hid.
Once Nikolai was old enough to get drafted he went to fight for his country. Alina knew she would than be forced to marry Vasily so he could rule the throne. After he returned he went into an apprentice in ship writing and a gunsmith. He later built a ship and hid his identity becoming a Privateer.
He received word that Alina was going to marry his older brother. He knew that it couldn't be true, so he returned to Os Alta to surprise his brother.
