When Ryan Carter starts college, he is immediately captivated by a mysterious girl he sees ice skating at the rink. Her grace and beauty on the ice leave him spellbound, but despite his fascination, he knows nothing about her-her name, her interests, or even why she skates alone.

Determined to get to know her, Ryan makes several attempts to approach her, but each time he tries to introduce himself, she avoids him, slipping away as if she's afraid of being noticed. Her elusive behavior only deepens his curiosity and admiration.

As Ryan observes her from a distance, he begins to piece together fragments of her life and the possible reasons behind her secretive demeanor. He learns that she is dealing with personal challenges and is hesitant to let anyone in. Despite her reticence, Ryan remains undeterred, gradually making efforts to understand her better without intruding on her private space.

Through small gestures of kindness and persistence, Ryan earns her trust and begins to uncover the layers of her guarded heart. As their paths slowly intertwine, he discovers not just her vulnerabilities but also the strength and resilience that define her.

Meet Violet Summers. She's the sarcastic girl who doesn't really ever get noticed by anyone. She blends into any crowd because of how "normal" she is. And she loves it. She wouldn't be able to stand the attention of everyone around her. That's why she won't tell Ryan Bloore, her crush for three years, that she practically worships the ground he walks on. Ryan is the captain of the basketball team at their school, so guys see him like he's a god and girls act like he walks on water. If they were to date, all eyes would be on her- she would be under everyone's scrutiny. So she's kept her feelings a secret, and she's done her best to suppress her emotions these past years, but she's realized that she's been so caught up in making people not notice her that she didn't realize how lonely she would be when no one was watching. Now meet Ryder Knight. School bad boy. Quarterback captain and heartthrob. The kind that wears a leather jacket and has tattoos all over his arms. The one who shows up to school riding a motorcycle. Just your average run of the mill "if you get involved with this guy, you will meet some serious trouble" kind of male. Well, too bad for Violet, she's stuck with him now. After all of the years of pushing away her feelings for Ryan because of her fear of being seen, she is now all anyone can look at- because of Ryder. Because of him, she can feel their stares, and she hates him for it. The longer they spend time together, the more Ryder starts to realize he actually enjoys being around her-despite her snarky comments about how much she despises him. And if Violet is being completely honest with herself, she's also starting to realize she might not actually hate the fact that people are noticing her now, but hate the way Ryder makes her feel.
