After the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, the U.S. Had officially joined WWII. One of their theaters was in the pacific fighting the Japanese. After the attack of Pearl Harbor the Japanese had a streak of success in later battles. The turning point of the war was the battle of Midway. This story is about a man named Pvt. Newman. His story starts in Guadalcanal.

Deletion of 1940 America: Subtraction in World War II
An alternate scenario of World War II. Typically, these stories involve adding elements, such as equipping Japan with modern technology or granting them knowledge from the future. But that approach feels too conventional, so I tried subtracting instead. I decided to remove the enormous factor that is the United States of America. The result was an entirely different history. That was until a mysterious medieval-looking structure appeared out of nowhere in the middle of Washington D.C. Suddenly, the nation's capital is under attack by a medieval-style army and creatures only seen in fantasy stories. This mysterious army, however, soon realizes that they stepped on the dragon's tail. This story is based off the anime/manga series, Gate, but follows a different storyline and characters. I do not own Gate, but the story and characters in this story are mine.
