A princess so poor

Isabelle Sophia De La Vega is the second born of The De La Vega dynasty, praised by all and loved by none. Due to her beauty and her father's -the king of Seraphene- habits of always gifting her any kind of costly object , the ton's impression of her is not quite positive, labelling her as being spoiled and easy to trick.
As grateful as Isabelle is for all the things her father has given her, she cannot stop longing for true love, an actual relationship where love is proved by time and affections rather than expensive gifts. While attending the hunting festival, which marks the beginning of the season, she meets the new Duke of Marvick, who is as cold as ice and the most intimidating man she has ever seen.
Despite their first impressions of one another, they grow to know each other on a deeper level and feelings start getting involved. However, between them comes someone else, who has the king's support, in order to win the princess's hand for political purposes.
Together, Isabelle and Alistair will have to figure out a way of convincing the king to give up his plan, without their feelings being discovered in the process.
