The Merciful Serpent was as beautiful as it was broken, as glorious as it was notorious. The little ship is bullied by angry, storm-driven ocean waves; it is assaulted by the salty waters each morning it passes. Its damaged state is worn as a battle scar of wars unfought.
Nobody knows where it goes or where it came from. We just know that, every morning at dawn, it docks on the shores of the poor country we call Reckoning Springs.
And it is a thing to be feared.
NOTE: this is a rewrite/continuation of my unfinished story "Echoes of the Ocean," which I'll be deleting at a later date. I hope you enjoy!
