A hiphuggers romance which is pre-season 1 and is based roughly on season 8's flashback episode which goes over how the team was formed. 
Initially, Eric hits on Calleigh (which is canon), she tells him not to bother with her because she would never even SOCIALIZE with anyone remotely related to her job (which is canon), but I am fudging that a little in this story.  She actually gives him her number, but at the date, she realizes that Horatio asked Eric to go through the police academy and join the team, so she decides (again) that they can't date... but sometimes, things happen... It might be, as Olivia Rodrigo sings, "a bad idea, right?" but, is it though?
