Chapter One - Hidden Secrets. Jeremiah dreams of a supernatural battle and then goes to school where his friends try to convince him to go to a party. He's hesitant at first, but agrees after learning his crush, Amber, will be there. Amber and some others are secretly vampires who go on a mission to take out a rogue vampire. Jeremiah's friends become suspicious of Amber's strange reaction to Jeremiah's blood and Evan's secretive behavior. Jeremiah and Amber are drawn to each other at the party, but Evan interrupts them after seeing his ex-girlfriend with someone else. Caleb leaves the party with Ruby, a girl who is secretly working for a bully. Jeremiah and his friends become worried when Caleb and Ruby disappear without telling anyone where they're going.
