In the island town of San Christiana, 2001, 16-year-old Joshy awakens with amnesia on a beach, wearing only underwear. As he adjusts to his new life, he makes a few blunders, including accidentally knocking out Sussie's ex, Jake, who confronts them.

The group shelters Joshy in Bobby's treehouse. The town's tension escalates when they learn about a serial killer with the ability to shoot lasers from his fingers. Motivated to help, Joshy, alongside Benny and Jake, prepares to investigate the killer's sightings in the northern part of town. With his gravity manipulation powers, Joshy hopes to protect his friends and confront the emerging threat.
