Damon Gabriel Salvatore, that ended up being Gabriel Anthony Ashton. he died from cancer and got reborn into Vampire diaries with magic that's not gonna vanish when he turns into a Vampire. ofcourse he is immune to compulsions and he started to drink Vervain from a young age to keep Vampires at a distance. when Katherine shows up, only Stefan falls for her as Damon has soulmates he wants to get to someday, as Katherine gives them both blood without Damon's and Stefan's knowledge their father haying Damon because he can use magic and tried to beat it out of him many times, now as he lays dying after getting shot. he smirks and says.
