His grip on my wrist was like ice, and before I could react, he had slammed me against the wall. His face was a mere breath away, his darkened green eyes burning with a dangerous intensity. My heart pounded in my ears as his lips hovered dangerously close. "Don't disrespect Me like that again," he growled, his voice low and menacing. "Or I'll show you a side of me you won't like." With that, he stepped back, and sat back on the sofa. leaving me frozen in place, my mind reeling from the shocking display.

I was forced to put on a facade and pretend that this monster was the man I loved.
