Things weren't always like this, especially in the beginning.
Long ago, when Taehyung first started out as a psychologist in a mental institution, holding the criminally insane, he met the man who would change his life for the better. Or arguably, worse. He was known as a cruel man that would kill anyone that walked his way, not caring of those around him. Other doctors who had attempted to treat the criminal, had this hopeful wonder that they would be the one to finally cure the man, but things would always take a turn for the worst when he would get into their mind and corrupt them, making them realise that he was incurable.
He was better known as The Joker.

The former idol completely withdraws away from the k-pop industry, even shunning most of his friends except a few who stubbornly stuck around. The once adored artist now fades away slowly, his once glamorous life now reduced to a tragic backstory people like to casually drop in their conversation. Kim Seokjin is a well reputed psychiatrist, volunteering to move to a small town in Daegu in order to prepare a project report on the people living in sub-urban provinces. His aim of enjoying a so-called quiet life, takes a 180* turn when he's approached by his childhood friend Jungkook (and Jimin), concerned friends of Taehyung- begging the young doctor to return Taehyung back to his own self.
