Jacob came to an abrupt stop. He dared not turn to Edward, in fear of what he might see on the vampire's face.
"I know we've silently agreed to not discuss it, but...but I can't keep silent anymore."
Jacob stayed silent. There was not much to say when your repressed feelings were being yanked out of you.
"You certainly haven't made it easier for me,"
Edward sounded closer than expected. The hair at the back of Jacob's neck stood, his shoulders tensed and he curled his fingers.
"Jacob," The enigmatic vampire whispered. His cold lips brushed the back of the young shapeshifter's ear."Look at me."
