Y/N (Your Name) was just a regular guy. He wasn't that smart and had no interest in most school subjects. When you were in school, you were given a tutor who ended up being a genius that even exceeded most adults. Even though you were polar opposites, you ended up becoming good friends as you loved the same nerd stuff that the friend did that wasn't school related. When the good friend made the move to California to pursue his PhD at CalTech, you decided to go with him and even made a secret deal to his mom to always be his friend and protect him.

His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either.
