Constance is a Light-One. A Siren. A being born of magic from the skies above. Aurelia is thought to be a sweet village, but it's villainous Queen is working behind the scenes, dividing Light-Ones into roles, and, for some reason, Constance is one of her top Reapers - a job used to assassinate Dark-Ones.
Oak is a Dark-One. A Werewolf. A being birthed from the underworld. Oak has forever lived in his older brother, Wilder's, shadow, because he is one of Silverspire's most valued Enforcers. And Oak isn't. Oak just wants to read, and swordfight, and heal others with poultices of herbs. He will never be like Wilder.
But when Constance breaks into his bedchamber one night, to kill him, lots of quick-paced events unfold, and Oak is faced with danger, foreboding, and himself.

Over the next few weeks I will be going through it to fix typos and grammatical errors but otherwise this story is complete! Enjoy! Sirena Brinn is just your average 18 year old... Well, aside from the fact that she can breath underwater. After moving back to her childhood home of Glasspoint, Florida Sirena's entire reality is changed when she learns that merpeople exist, and that she could even be one herself. Eventually, she finds herself in the company of Calder, a mysterious merman who seems to know a little too much about her, and Darrien a handsome merprince who puts the fate of his kingdom in her hands. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ It took all of me not scream at the sight before me. Calder was standing in my bedroom, stark naked. "Oh my god!" I cried, shielding my eyes. I leapt from under my covers and ran into the bathroom. I snatched a towel off the rack and flung it at Calder. So clearly last night wasn't a dream. "What the hell?" I hissed as he wrapped the towel around his waist. "How did you get in here?" "I climbed up from the balcony." He replied casually. "You're insane." "Well if you hadn't run off last night and just let me explain, I wouldn't be standing here right now." He said coldly. "Oh it's my fault? Okay. Well can you really blame me?" I exclaimed angrily. I was pissed that he was pissed at me. "Up until last night, I didn't even think mermaids existed, and then you tell me that I am one!" "Well excuse me for trying to give you some background information about yourself." He scoffed. Y/N, a beautiful siren with a captivating voice, she was banished from the waters by other mythical creatures like the merfolk. The other creatures believed that her voice was too powerful and could cause chaos among their communities, so they casted her out. She now lives on dry land and longs for the day when she can return to her true home underwater. One night, while the siren was wandering the shores of a nearby lake, she stumbled upon Astarion, a vampire who had been wounded in battle. Despite his ominous appearance, the siren was immediately drawn to his mysterious nature and decided to approach him. She offered to sing for him, hoping that her voice might comfort him and make him forget his pain. Little did she know, Astarion was even more intrigued by her voice than he was by her beauty, and he was determined to learn more about this fascinating creature.
