There is a wildfire burning in Georgia. The dead have risen to eat the living and those who are left struggle to survive through the most horrifying event in human history. Oliver Cromwell is one of these. After ten months on the road, having seen nothing but walkers (which he calls "roamers"), he meets Rick Grimes who is on a rescue mission to save his son, Carl, from the grips of a terribly bad man. What comes after is a friendship and romance that defies traditions and spans beyond the single encounter. [Season 3 AU; may extend to other seasons.]
