Sakina's eyes widened in shock.
"What? Why? What did I do wrong?"Kamran turned away, unable to meet her gaze. "It's not you, it's me. I just. I need to be alone right now. You need to find someone else.
"Sakina felt her heart break at his words. "But. but Kamran, I love you. Please don't do this.
Kamran's resolve wavered as he saw the tears welling up in Sakina's eyes. He knew he was hurting her, but he also knew he couldn't continue this. it hurt him seeing her like this. but he had to do this. for her.
"I'm sorry, Sakina," Kamran said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I have to go.
"And with that, he turned and walked away, leaving Sakina standing there, tears streaming down her face as she begged him to stay.
Sakina watched helplessly as Kamran disappeared into the distance. She couldn't believe that their friendship was over just like that because of her stupid confession. She fell to her knees, her sobs echoing through the empty schoolyard.
