Some called it the New Revolution; others called it a Civil War. No one knew what it was; they only knew that it divided the Country by more than State loyalty, even community loyalty. The deaths and destruction of the Country were not foreseen. Outside influence wasn't even thought of; no one thought it would go as far as it did. The deaths could only be estimated, that estimate was over a million. Some say it was a natural event, a combination of a two-party system, and the growing divide it caused. The year is 2018 and planet Earth has given man kind everything that it has to offer, to the point that the planet is dying away. Most of the earth is in ruin which made all the leaders from all the nations meet together on a secret island for two weeks to come up and form a plan for man kind's survival, and so the United Space Administration or USA for short was form. For years the federal governments from all the nations on earth has been secretly investing and contributing with each other on space and military developments without the population of their countrymen knowing about what they ( the government ) was doing, and now the secrets might pay off now that every country on earth has no choice but to come together as one people. The USA ( not the United States ) has built four star ships in the past ten years at Space Station United in space a few hundred miles behind Space Station Freedom . Through the years moon bases have also been built on the moon, and now paper and coin currencies are completely gone. Everyone on Earth has one card with a chip in it that has everything about you on it and the new currency for everyone is credit and bits.

An army of robots, that's what every government wants. A regiment easily manipulable and obedient to the slightest command. And this troop, my country has managed to create it. By erasing the memory of every child in the country, in every city and every village, no one would remember anything, hence no chance of rebellion or questioning. No family, no friends, nothing, no attachments in the world except our "guardians". But they didn't account for me in their calculations. They didn't think I would resist and keep my memory. That I would undergo training to become a good little soldier, waiting for my time.

I was drowning. I knew that. I also knew that the hands around my throat, pushing me deeper into the river water was the cause. What I didn't know was who was drowning me and why. It hurt thinking. It hurt to do anything right now. But I still screamed under the cold water and pushed the hands away as hard as I could. It didn't have much effect. I fought and fought, but I was getting weaker, and colder. The pain was overbearing. I couldn't breathe. It was the worst pain imaginable; and as the hands that were around my neck were forcibly ripped off by some unknown force, I slipped deeper into the depths of the river. My hair was straight above me along with my arms. My eyes were open and the water burned. A darkness started to pull me under, taking the pain away. I felt a small pressure around my waist, before the darkness completely consumed me. The last thing I remember is thinking, save me.
