Lloyd was a new royal guard who came from an unknown place and became the new royal bodyguard. Kai, the crown prince, tries hard to break through this bodyguard's stoic demeanor and get him to finally loosen up. One night, the castle is attacked by an unknown spirit and both Kai and Lloyd are taken. Their journey to return home won't be an easy one. During this journey, Lloyd will uncover information about Kai that not even the king knows, and Kai will come to understand why Lloyd is so guarded, as well as learn about his past, which will make the prince see Lloyd in a different light.
