Harry knew he was a bad sub, because his dom had to punish him all of the time. When they were together, Harry was always being too loud, too clumsy, too needy, and too annoying. Harry was constantly being punished for failing over and over again as a sub ... Louis tried to not let his thoughts go back to Harry. Anytime he thought about his lack of a sub, for some reason, the curly haired teen came to mind. Louis knew he wasn't a sub, but there was something about him that made Louis feel warm inside. Of course the boy was attractive, but still a dom shouldn't feel this way about a switch. And Harry had a boyfriend who he was perfectly happy with. Well, he hadn't seemed super happy to see him, but maybe they had had a row. ... Or the one where Harry is a sub, and is in a very abusive relationship, but thinks he deserves it. No one knows that he's a sub. Louis is a dom and starts to suspect something is wrong. Can he rescue Harry and help him to see how wonderful he is? Or is Harry broken beyond repair?

I wrote this when I was like 15 so it's awful and horribly inaccurate regarding lots of stuff and the characters are really, really annoying. If it didn't have so many reads and votes and that I would delete it. PLEASE, if you want something with better writing and still full of angst, look at my other fics instead (Tempest is my fav) // Harry is upset, he just wants someone to care about him but he keeps pushing everyone away. Despite being packed tightly in a tour bus with the rest of the band, he still manages to avoid them. The boys begin to worry, Louis especially. // PSSST, i think my other stories are better! His memory scarred by the horrible events that occurred in that jungle, what seemed like a century ago. His brain puts his conscience on autopilot, and carries him off to his own personal hell. The stress is getting to him more and more in his older state, like he's dying more and more every time he flashes back to that dense forest, and is feeding the memory that kills him with his decaying state. He's afraid to sleep, afraid of being alone, for fear that it will consume him completely. It sometimes feels that all the possible happiness has left him, that he can no longer create good memories, only amplify the terrifying ones.

It isn't that he doesn't love the dominance that Harry holds when they are together, its the fact that he only feels like he knows half of his life. Harry, always a complex, dark character, holds so many secrets that he doesn't even know how to explain or understand himself. But what he does know, is that his love for Louis is something he can never lose, he knows that the day Louis decides he doesn't want him anymore, there will be no reasons left to live. Just how far will Harry go to protect his secret life, in order to keep his relationship safe, knowing that every secret is slowly tearing them apart.
