World wars raged for a long time, using weapons of great might against fellow humans. The world appeared on the verge of destruction until a bomb uncovered a deep cave, unleashing ancient beasts. These beasts, also known as dragons, wiped out many countries and landmasses in their anger. It wasn't until certain people who could control the dragons managed to put a stop to that war. Humans collectively decided to destroy their advanced technology and weapons, reverting back to the days of stone and metal in an attempt to heal the world. After a long time, dragons and humans became part of daily life; only the chosen few could tame and ride these beasts, but that didn't stop the power-hungry people from starting more wars.
This book follows the journey of Esmond, who so desperately wants to bond with a dragon like the rest of his family. After many failed attempts throughout his life, he takes more risks to finally call a dragon his own.

Drekablóð Rising:Fire(Book 1) by Phoenix-Dragoness
34 parts Complete
The war that started it all. Five hundred years ago a war erupted in Elementa when humans started hunting a revered race called the Drekablóð; half humanoid, half dragon. The humans saw them as abominations for their differences; fear of a race more powerful than another makes others do rash and deadly things. After the humans slaughtered a whole settlement of Drekablóð, the magical creatures of Elementa rose up in defense of the Drekablóð. The humans likewise called on their dwarf and elf allies. Thus Bellum ex Quod Draco ipsos Troiugenas began. For ten long, bloody years the races fought hard for the future of the Drekablóð. One wanting to exterminate them like pest. The other wanting them to survive and flourish. In the end, the humans won, but their victory cost them and the rest of Elementa dearly. The alicorns and dwarves disappeared. The wyverns and elves were practically extinct. Dragons were a rare sight. Only the humans survived to tell the tale of how they wiped out the evil monsters that tried to take their lands. Elementa, originally a lush and beautiful land, was now split into four different climates, equally harsh in their own way. But the humans prevailed in cultivating Elementa and chasing away any remaining magical creatures into her far corners. With the resistance of magical creatures no longer in their way, the humans continued their 'sport' of hunting the Drekablóð into extinction. Half a millennium later, the seeress Carmentha foresaw the return of the Drekablóð, and restoring Elementa to her prime and defeating the wicked and harsh rulership of Elementa. These four children have been destined to save Elementa before they were ever born. Can they overcome their difficulties and save Elementa? Or will they fail and allow Elementa to fall into darkness forever? There will be some minimum swearing and minimum acts of violence. I would rate this book for 14 and up.

Many thousands of years ago, a battle between good and evil started. The heroes were dwindling in numbers as the villains kept winning over and over, but one day a nameless hero came to help aid the side of good. When he came the heroes started winning more battle and started to beat the villains. The leader of the villains grew frustrated at the nameless hero. She sent her strongest minions to kill him but all failed and died. She then went to fight the nameless hero, it was a long fought battle. The hero using magic and weapons and the villain using her own magic and weapons kept going at each other. The hero finally gained the upper hand and knocked down the villain. "Your evil ends now." "You would like that wouldn't you? You would like me to stop fighting." "I would and I'm the only one who can end this nightmare." "You can't." The hero started to say some incantation and the villain could feel her power being taken away. "What are you doing to me?!" "I'm removing your power so you can't hurt anyone again." The hero summons a magical chest. "This chest will store your power since it can't be destroyed." "NO!" All her power left her and flowed into the chest. She turned into a ghostly figure. "How could you do this to me?" "I have people to protect." "Curse you." "This chest won't open for you. Your power is locked away forever." "CURSE YOU!" The hero then walked away and left her there at the chest for all eternity. Or so he thought. Thousands of years later, now in a cave she hears someone coming. "Oh i'm fine, thought i heard something. It sounded like crying." She smiled at the fact she would finally get her powers back and get revenge on the human race.
The Hidden Lives of Monsters by Landiahazak
37 parts Complete
Anyone who has played any Monster Hunter game will have probably noticed at some point that the ways these so called "monsters" act are strangely familiar, with their behavior being more animalistic than monstrous. This is without a doubt the thing that separates this franchise from all other monster hunting games; the beasts we do battle with are little more than this world's versions of animals. Now it's no secret that we're familiar with the lives of the humans, felyns, and wyverians, as we spend a lot of time with them; however, what about the monsters? Do we really know what the lives of these fantastical animals are like? In this book, we'll be exploring the hidden lives of the monsters themselves and see the world through their eyes. We'll learn what their everyday lives are like, the challenges they must face to survive in their natural habitats, and even how they manage to more or less peacefully coexist with other creatures and civilization. So if you want to see what it's like to live as a monster, join me on this journey, and discover the hidden lives of monsters. Warning! Because nature can be very unforgiving, some of these stories may contain potentially upsetting content to some readers, with gore, violence, and mating being some of them. This book is supposed to give an accurate representation of monster lives, so despite not being present in the games for obvious reasons, the simple fact is that these less palatable things definitely do happen when nobody's looking. Finally, all pictures belong to their rightful owners.
