22 year old freshly graduated Carrington Woodbine from New York University with her degree in Physical Therapy. Upon graduating Carrington finds herself work as a physical therapist in a local private practice for recovering patients out of local hospitals. One day Carrington is offered a dream job to work with the New York Knicks. Here she meets Brandon Wright, who takes a liking to the new addition on the team and also takes a liking to her best friend as well.. but what happens when Carrington finds herself falling in love with a man who she feels is just way too out of her league? Coming from a troublesome household with a neighbourhood just as chaotic, Azalea James always looked for a way out―An escape, which she eventually found in dance as it offered her solace she never knew. The older Azalea got the more her interest in the art grew and eventually, she moved into a new neighbourhood away from her household and decided to pursue a career in dance, a career her parents would never approve of. This decision leads her to catch the eye of a man who is relentless about pursuing her, Akeem Ali, the talented and famous basketball player. Akeem Ali was well known for playing for the Garvey's, well that was until he was met with misfortune―an injury that cost his team games after games. Not wanting to deal with his misfortune any longer, Akeem was traded to the 39ers with the help of his friend. And although the 39ers are a great team, Akeem still struggles to consider it home as he believes like all things and people, he is replaceable. Though this doesn't stop him from proving to others and himself that he is anything but that. Both Azalea and Akeem are determined to reach the highest possible point in their careers to achieve that comfortability and security they crave, but will determination be enough against the obstacles they may face? And will their budding relationship survive the uncertainty of life?
