Looking down at the Slicer memorabilia that once was the pride of my husband's possessions, I wonder what it would be like to risk everything in that outlawed sport. Your sanity, your innocence, your family... Your life...

I envision myself bringing the life back into Marco's old blades, skating around the rink and ducking between the other deadly players. All of this while dodging fallen teammates, their bodies scattered across the ice, surrounded by pools of their own blood.

I will never forget Marco's dim, lifeless eyes, or Piper's screams.

I will never remember the life I had before my newfound love.
