Her best friend disappeared 11 years ago. Now she must uncover what happened that day in the forest.

Nineteen-year-old Vitalia is an ordinary person who thinks more about survival than about the magical world of the fairies. However, this will soon become irrelevant because every year, the elves come once to find and choose mortals with powers to take them to the world of the fairies and train them.

Everything seems fine until her shadow powers manifest in front of the elf at the ceremony. Taken to the world of the fairies, Vitalia finds the answer to her question, but with it come many others.
Not only must she fight for her life among the elves, but she also needs to beware of lies, because the town's old patroness warned her: "Do not trust the man with sapphire eyes."

Rule #1: Never trust the man with sapphire eyes.
