Metamorphosis, or Sis, was fourteen when she won the 66th Hunger Games, afterwards her capitol escort, Crow, deceived her into becoming a morphling addict in order to keep the theme of district six's victors going.
-*-
Crow lifts Anna's pendant, a gift from Mrs. Figg, and asks sharply,"What is this?"
"I-It's a butterfly." She stammers, stunned by the woman's abruptness.
The woman hums,"A butterfly? I can work with that."
-*-
Her escort places a tea cup in front of her, the china tapping as its set on the glossy tabletop.
"Have some tea, dear." Crow says as she rounds the table to her own seat."It'll help with you nerves."
She pours herself a cup, the steam curls above it, and takes a sip.
Anna lifts her own cup to her lips.
Crow's eyes gleam as she watches the girl swallow. The hot liquid travels down her insides, scorching as it does.
"There isn't that much better?"
She shouldn't have drank that tea.

Of course I don't own anything about The Hunger Games, so don't sue me.
Did I write a summary before I even began the book? Yes, yes I did.
!!Attention!!
If anybody does read this, be for-warned; this story will have a very unpredictable update schedule. Could update in a day, a week, or ten years, I dunno.
Also, this is all unedited; coherent, just not polished to perfection.
Jazmine Baez never asked questions. She moved shipments for Mr. Singh, never letting herself get too involved. It was a simple deal: follow orders, get paid, survive. That was her life in the Caribbean-until the day she met Rafe Cameron.
Rafe was chaos wrapped in charm, a world of trouble she never saw coming. What started as a business transaction soon spiraled into something darker, something they couldn't control. Together, they fed off each other's need : Rafe's desperate hunger for approval and Jazmine's need to break free from the chains of survival.
But as their lives twisted into obsession, their toxic bond became the one thing holding them together... and dragging them under. Two lost souls, each trying to escape their fate, bound by a dangerous love they can't walk away from.
Because some people aren't meant to be saved.
They're born to die.
