Mates, a dream come true for all werewolves. Lena thought everything was going to be happy for her once she found her mate who was the next Alpha in line who also accepted her, but boy was she wrong. Things were happy at first, things were what she thought things would be, but that was until weeks passed her mate started to change. He made rules for her and changed his ways. He wanted her to be the perfect Luna now that he was Alpha. Lena had to forget about the love he once gave her, yearning for the mate that she once had before he became Alpha.
Lena gave up her whole life for her mate, she moved, stayed with him, and gave her life to him. She use to be the perky, lovable, sweet girl who laughed and smiled a lot, but that was two years ago and now, she is all alone, forced to put a smile on her face through her pain. She yearns for the love that other mates have that she cannot experience with her own mate. He just wanted her to be a perfect Luna, never her mate. He accepted her only so he could be Alpha, but he didn't accept her as his mate. He hasn't marked her or mated with her. He only needs her for one simple purpose.
And it is not to be his mate.
