Rainalyn, or Raine for short, is the known daughter of the Clairvoyant Tris, an infamous artist whose name travelled from town to town, but never reached the big city. However, one day, Tris unexpectedly told Alice to go back to Watterville where the mother's notorious reputation had blossomed and stuck in time.

Reluctant as she was, without any concrete knowledge as to why her mother insists, her nostalgia and innate love for the place motivated her to come back.

And also, because she had to escape the fame of her mother in the big city.

After five years, she stepped into her old home after concealing herself as Tris' daughter by claiming to be a new local in town and saw an old letter that slowly withered on the entrance mat. It was addressed to her bearing the name Raphael Watters.

Her childhood friend and past lover which she had shared her everything with. Despite trying to forget about him, she struggled immensely as she felt in her bones that he was still very much in town.

Instead of trying to live peacefully alone and avoiding Raphael's name, she was cornered as he had already noticed her ever since her foot stepped on the threshold.
