Golden hour rushed as winds trailed the crossed sun rays while beaming streams sharped the reddish eyes of the yellow aswang. A lady who's carrying a retro-styled sling bag grabs a pen and a journal looking sketchpad with chunks of old rose scented paper, sketches the surroundings around her, steadily as she goes as time conveys surprising happenings.

Featured by @Romance .·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·. "Why do you make these paper flowers?" He asked, looking at her through the mirror. "They don't wither like the real ones." She replied, aligning the entire bunch of paper flowers. "But they don't have the fragrance." He politely challenged her. He was a soldier. Chivalrous was his middle name. "These paper flowers, they stay with you for as long as you want. You don't really have to throw them away like people discard the real ones. They pluck them for the fragrance and colors. But once that fades, they throw it away." She said, finally looking up at him. "Not everyone!" He added almost immediately, taking one more step forward. It could be his height or his longer stride, or maybe the room was too small as it only took him two steps to reach her. "Yeah! Of course! Exceptions are there, like poets and people in love." She walked in a different direction, putting those flowers on the table. He rolled his eyes with a defeated sigh. She was a teacher. Arguing with her was as futile as making a sand castle on a seashore. "You know, gone is the era when people used to preserve the flowers of their loved ones. We don't have people like that anymore!" She said as she faced him. "We don't have that kind of love anymore." He said looking straight into her eyes. She held his gaze through the mirror for a while, trying to read through him. "I agree." Murmuring under her breath, she turned around. Taking a deep breath, watching her retreating figure, he brought out his favorite poetry book from the shelf. After he was sure she was not looking, he ruffled through the pages till he found a dried Hibiscus. The very same one which had fallen from her bag when he first saw her. With a small smile, he cautiously caressed the petals. He closed the book with a fond sigh and found her looking at him. She couldn't hold his gaze for long and looked down, crimson covering her cheeks. He shook his head with a chuckle.

Beneath a sky blanketed in the velvet embrace of night, a soft wind stirred the leaves of ancient oaks, carrying with it the scent of rain yet to fall. In the quiet town of Evershore, where the ocean's rhythmic murmur brushed against the cliffs like a lover's sigh, there lived a woman named Isabella. She had spent most of her life in the gentle comfort of routine, her days flowing like the tide-predictable, safe, and calm. Yet beneath the surface of her carefully constructed world, there was a yearning. It was as if her heart had once known a great love, a love that had slipped away like the sand between her fingers. She didn't know why it felt this way; only that something deep within her had been left unsatisfied, a part of her soul forever seeking something just out of reach. One evening, as the sun dipped low and painted the sky in shades of gold and rose, Isabella stood at the edge of the cliff that overlooked the vast, infinite ocean. The wind, carrying the promise of rain, whispered through her hair, and for the first time in years, she allowed herself to dream of something more than what she had. There was a restlessness in her, a quiet understanding that her life had been a quiet prelude to something she could not yet name. It was then that she saw him. A figure emerged from the mist that clung to the water's edge, a man whose presence seemed to defy time and space. His dark hair tousled by the wind, his gaze intense yet distant, as though he had come from a place beyond the horizon, a world Isabella had never known but somehow remembered. His eyes met hers-strangers' eyes, but not unfamiliar-and something inside her stirred, as though a forgotten part of her had just been awakened. The world held its breath. The sea sighed. And Isabella knew, with a certainty she could not explain, that her life was about to change forever.

The strong pull to her. The desire to have something you never thought you would want again. A glance turned into an obsession. And he would stop at nothing to get her. Circumstances run in his favor as the woman of his dreams landed into his domain. He would never let her go. A chance glance turned obsession. #1 BWWN! #1 Mafia [4/12/24] *Book excerpt* -- Her cheeks turned red, ever so slightly through her chocolate skin. Her skin looked and felt so smooth. She liked the compliments, the Italian flare. It ropes many women, but the way she looked at me with her big almond eyes had my mind racing and my body in overdrive. She was not immune to my charm, even in her current situation. Her hair was in a slick bun. I was sad not to be able to see the curls adorne her face. And yet she stared at me again, watching me like a dog. Curious gazes. It was fun to tease, and the response I got back over affirmed my teasing. She seemed more relaxed with me. She looked away from me. She stared out the window watching the street ride by. It was silent for a while as I texted my subordinates basic commands. Nothing conspicuous. "Alessio, where are you taking me," her voice piped up. Seems like it took her a while to muster up the courage. I loved her sweet voice when it spoke me me and when she said my name... It was such a turn-on. She wasn't supposed to really ask questions. I don't like lots of questions. I thought about the best way to respond but opted not to say anything at all. She was as stubborn as always, forgetful too. She scanned around me before huffing to herself and looking back out the window. -- Started 06/08/2023- 8/14/2023 Highest Rankings: #7 Arranged [4/26/24] #26 Older #1 Bwwm #13 Man #1 Mafia #1 lovetragedy #6 lovestory #5 Blackwomen
