What is strength of will without the pain of perservance? Barry Allen wasn't ready to die that faithful night he confronted the monster known as Zoom in front of his entire team and the rest of the Central City, but that didn't mean he wasn't willing to. Though, fate seemed to find a much harsher way to provide retribution for his overconfidence in a way no speedster ever would've thought in their wildest nightmares to come true; For his entire waist down to become paraylzed, including his legs. Two weeks after the hauntingly humilating event of the century that was The Flash's televised defeat, Barry finds himself with a simple decision to make. One which will possibly determine how he'll spend the rest of his life; To accept his friends' encouragement and believe in himself that there's light on the other side of his injuries or fall victim to the darkness which creeps so closely behind his heart's every beat, threatening to consume the very man who was once his city's guardian angel. (set after the events of The Flash, season two, episode six titled, "Enter Zoom") Author's Notes: I just want to thank anyone who is taking the time to read this story of mine because I truly appreciate any view, comment, or vote anyone has the time and or desire to give me!
