As he grappled with the surreal haze of his existence, a group of people burst into the room, faces etched with worry. Some looked vaguely familiar, others were complete strangers. But one thing was clear: if he was seeing people who were supposed to be dead... then what did that make him?

Welcome to another Xicheng fanfiction, where Lan Xichen and Jiang Cheng take centre stage as the main couple. Expect emotional depth, unexpected twists, and a few side ships to spice things up.  

This story is entirely my own creation, though the beloved characters are from Mo Dao Zu Shi by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu. Full credit to the original author for crafting such a rich universe.  

Images used throughout are sourced from Pinterest and Google; credit goes to their respective creators.  

The story will unfold in two segments. First segment focuses mainly on Jiang Cheng, and the second segment focuses on Lan Xichen. That's all the spoilers you're getting for now 😉

As the blood seep into his cloth from the arrow that hit his chest, the blood touched the talisman. It activated the talisman, a bright light surrounded the whole place.
