The entire wizarding community can recall the headline of June 5th, 1973: "Starkov family slain, no survivors. What happened to those blessed by the elements?" 50 men, women and children had lost their lives under the cover of darkness, all over America, and yet no one was ever found responsible. A tragedy, the papers claimed. "Only a month after Morana Elaine Starkov had been publicly named heir to her family's dynasty, the 13 year-old-girl was found, throat slit, at the edge of Starkov Manor. She was declared dead at the scene, alongside her four brothers, cousins, parents, and extended family."
Well rest their souls.
Only Morana hadn't died that night. And now, recruited by The Order of The Phoenix, the tortured elementalist must dry her tears. Because there's a war to win, tests to ace, revenge to have had, and love to be found.
Though Morana is against the latter-- Regulus Black can be a bit of a git.
I don't have any claim on the Harry Potter universe or the characters--- only Morana and her family and storyline. There is also some additional inspiration drawn from The Deadly Education series, so credit to them, too! Also, I know the cover sucks-- I don't have the patience to make a good one.
