A Midwinter's Day

The most you expect from winter is warm clothes, hearty foods and wood stoves with your family close by. Oh, and lots of snow. Of course that's what happens every winter, no matter where you live in Canada. Even in the small isolated town of Quinan which hid in the thick woods of Nova Scotia.
These season routines are what Nika Rock expected, just like everyone else.
Yet when she found him ice cold and half hidden in snow, Nika knew from that day she laid eyes on him, that this was to be quite the changing midwinter of her life.
