Four months after a traumatic school lockdown, Anastasia recounts the harrowing day to her therapist, Dr. Alexander. On October 22, 1988, she and her friends-Clara, Alo, Jack, and Noah-skipped class to smoke in an abandoned classroom. When a sudden lockdown was announced, they barricaded themselves inside, only to witness outside chaos and blood through the window. Despite their attempts to stay calm, fear escalated as Noah's phone revealed false reports of their safety, leading to a breakdown. As hunger and anxiety set in, Alo and Jack ventured out for food, leaving Anastasia and the others in distress.
