About Leandro César da Silva:
Leandro is a highly innovative Brazilian musician and instrument builder. His work with the seminal Brazilian experimental music group UAKTI involved maintaining custom-built instruments and touring extensively throughout Brazil, the U.S., and Europe. In recent years, Leandro has focused on researching and constructing marimbas using a wide range of materials, forming the Marimbula ensemble to perform new arrangements of compositions by renowned Brazilian composers such as Egbert Gismonti and Marco Antônio Guimaraes.
