Set against the backdrop of the magical world-between-worlds of Idavöllr, the story follows five characters who have developed unique abilities in the post-Ragnarök world. These characters embark on a journey of self-discovery in an effort to learn more of their powers as well as their pasts. As their paths cross, they realize that even with the greatest war of all the Realms ended this is no time of peace. They are forced to shed stereotypes and lose any preconceived notions they have about each other in order to oust a trouble-making usurper in the form of a young demon prince.
