When did it all go wrong? Arrana Bolton asked that question day and night. Was it the battle of Rooks Rest? Was it when she faced assassins named Blood & Cheese? Perhaps when Aemond returned from Storm's End.
When Arrana looked at her sleeping daughter, in the crib her father had ordered specially made for her, she concluded it was the first two times they met. The first at Laena Velaryon's funeral. Then again, when they laid eyes on each other in that damned throne room.
She recalled the way his one, sharp, blue eye was locked with her own cold grey ones. In that moment they were doomed; doomed to love, to fall, to cry and mourn, doomed for their souls to be intertwined with one another.
