"I assure you, I'm singly here for the composition," He teased, "not the ballerinas"

I examined the man, as if I was searching for a crumble of dishonesty, "Is that so? Well, your intentions don't concern me"

He stared down at me, as if he was likewise scouring for something within me, but I dismissed his curious, hazel eyes and veered my attention to the ballet; his fierce gaze, undoubtedly, could uniquely penetrate the walls I desperately constructed in any interaction with a man. The dilemma I faced was to accept the pensive gentleman, or stay confined in my space.

"Have you ever heard the composition, 'There Is a Fountain'?"

"Oh," stunned, but I continued to feign ignorance, "No is that your favorite?"

His light chuckle and widened smile eluded the opposite to his reply, "Not exactly, yet last night, I had a dream of the song"

Despite attempting to disregard him, my eyes were drawn to him as he genuinely spoke with manners, politeness, and passion I'd never seen before.

He elaborated, "This performance reminds me of it, well, the arrangement of the piano notes at least"

"The melody begins depressingly, but anticipation builds as the notes rise, and eventually return to the initial-let's say-vibe" The intimidating man gushed over the hymn with a fondness I couldn't merely understand-since I'd only heard it in my nightmares.

Sultry and deep, his voice, blessed my ears rather expensively-I digress.
