Sonic and his crew, Amy, his adopted sister, Tails, his adopted brother, and Knuckles, his best friend, have been sailing the seven seas for years, but then, on what had started out as a completely normal day, their ship gets invaded by another, bigger, crew.

Their captain, Shadow, Rogue, Shadow's first mate, Scourge, Cream, Blaze, Silver.

But when Shadow and his crew were ready to throw Sonic, Amy, Tails, and Knuckles overboard, Rogue suggests having them join their crew.

Sonic and his crew agree to it, and they all set off for a treasure that both crews have been looking for. All the while Sonic and Shadow begin to grow closer.
