Isla Ramirez and Milo Bennet grew up together, but their relationship was always strained. Forced to act friendly by their mothers, Milo always despised Isla. Isla also despised Milo. Tragedy struck when Milo's mom died in a car accident with Isla's mom in the passenger seat, leading Milo's dad to blame Isla's mom for the loss. This deepened Milo's hatred, causing him to finally lash out on Isla. Fast forward to their sophomore year of high school, Isla transfers to Ridgewood Highschool which also happens to be the school Milo attends. Despite their bitter history and lingering resentment, unexpected feelings begin to surface, challenging everything they thought they knew about each other.
