The year 1918. The creation of Czechoslovakia and its declaration of independence meant only one thing. The end of the Habsburg Monarchy in this territory. The Czechoslovak government banned members of the Habsburg dynasty from staying or returning to the country. The Habsburgs had to leave the land and live in exile. Many of them took refuge in Austria or other European countries.

So did Princess Helen Elizabeth, the favorite granddaughter of Emperor Francis Joseph I and his late wife Sissi.

But she did not move to Austria or other countries belonging to the Habsburg Monarchy. She defected to the state which in the Great War was one of the main enemies of her country - Britain.

When the opportunity presented itself to pack her bags and forget about her responsibilities and who she was, she immediately took it. Deciding to abandon her degrees and her place, she pointed her finger casually at a map of England and then just bought tickets to go to Small Heath in Birmingham.

"𝐎𝐡, 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐲 𝐃𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬." ( oc x oc ) 𝐅𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐂𝐀 𝐒𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐁𝐘 - the youngest Shelby sister was the only sibling that you could look at and say "no, she isn't related to those Shelby bastards." Although she shared the same brunette locks as her sister Ada and the same blue eyes as her brother Tommy, she did not share the same attitudes. Francesca was an anxious girl. And that only worsened when her brothers left for war. Her second eldest brother, Tommy, was a God in her eyes. She idolised him. Why? Nobody knew. But there was something about him. And for her.. Tommy loved her like she was his own daughter. They had a bond not even the strongest of men could destroy. They were cut from the same cloth. 𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐑, - Francesca finds that her closest and only friend, George, a boy who came from the richer side of Birmingham, had returned from the countryside. He was the type of boy all the girls would fawn over. Golden hair and blue eyes. Except, he didn't care for any of them. He cared for his best friend: Francesca Shelby. Or - Frances, as he called her. He was her only friend. Being older and, well, liked by most, he found it was his duty to look after her during such a hostile time. But they seemed to be blind to the fact that they were more than friends. In some way, they were more. They didn't know it but everybody else did.

Dorothy Monroe is a petite woman with a heart too big for her chest. She's pure, kind, she looked at the world and determined all the colours of nature were miracles and needed to be remembered. She's loved photography ever since her father brought a camera home and even had a gift with the newly designed lenses ever since she could wrap her small hands around the clunks of metal. Thomas Shelby: gangster; and war hero; he reads the devils script as if it were the morning newspaper - the list will go on. I don't need to say much more, you already know him. The Shelby family, as part of Tommy's expansion plan, bought a large area of the woods on the outskirts of Small Heath, far away from the Birmingham smog, there they built safe houses and kept heavy machinery; maybe even once they kept a large crate of stolen guns, supposedly belonging to the Government. Unbeknownst to Dorothy, who stumbled around the woods (a bulky camera in hand), she had explored the woods many times, taking photos of all the things that shined bright enough, but had never come across the peculiar buildings that held many dangers. That is, of course, until she knocks upon one of the doors, ready to give an earful to whoever had built over this precious patch of land, only to come face to face with one Thomas Shelby. -loosely follows the plot of season 1- *disclaimer* I do not own the Peaky Blinders or any of Steven Knights characters, only the story of Dorothy and her own plot line. This trope is cliche and overused, but idc, I like it.

Isabella, (Bella), Kingsley was used to living a quiet, sheltered life in New York City. When her father decides to open a branch of his company in Birmingham, England and makes his desire known to bring the whole family with him, Bella has her reservations, but is excited about the prospect of traveling as was her dream since childhood. Her fears soon catch up with her when she is thrown into the lives of the Shelby family against her will. Bella is left with a difficult choice to make: help Thomas Shelby with his nefarious business and face the consequences or ignore his demands at the price of possible harm to her family.
